Don't know about your first question, but volume 0014 must have gotten an
i/o error some time earlier. When the server starts, it will report any
tapes that have been changed to read-only. If you do a q vol f=d it will
tell you the date the error occurred.

My server crashed last night for the first time in months. It came back
up, but I'm concerned about the error message and what to do about it.
Will it hit this again? No mirrors in place. I also don't understand the
meaning of the 1414W error which came up after I restarted...

02/16/1997 20:06:53 ANR0207E Page address mismatch detected on database
volume
/adsm/db/dbvol0, logical page 72686 (physical page
                      48366); actual: -1.
02/17/1997 08:35:33 ANR1414W Volume 0014 access mode is "read-only" due to
                      previous write error.

What do I need to do? Bad entry in the database? How do I fix? And why
is volume 0014 "read-only"?

ADSM Server for AIX-RS/6000 - Version 2, Release 1, Level 0.10/0.10 on top
of AIX 4.1.4. Thanks!
