What does "q dbv" return?  In order to reduce the database, you have to
delete a database volume, and the data in that volume has to fit on the
other remaining volumes.  Additionally, the increment that can be deleted
depends on the sizings of the VM Minidisks that hold the data.  You cannot
delete part of a minidisk.

It may be that you will have to define more space in order to remove any,
so that ADSM can migrate off of the minidisk (dbvolume) that you want
removed.
