I have just noticed that none of my administrative commands are not currently
being executed, and they haven't been executing for days.

The following is a summary of my findings.

* Query Status show that 'Central Scheduler: Active'

* All of my administrative schedules are 'Active?: Yes'

* The following is a portion of the output from a 'query event' command.

01/12/1997 07:30:00 01/12/1997 07:30:01 RCSMIG Completed
01/12/1997 10:30:00 01/12/1997 10:30:01 DB_PURGE Completed
01/12/1997 10:30:00 01/12/1997 10:30:01 RCSMIG1 Completed
01/12/1997 10:35:00 01/12/1997 10:35:01 DB_BACKUP Failed
01/13/1997 06:00:00 AISMIG Uncertain
01/13/1997 07:30:00 AISMIG1 Uncertain
01/13/1997 07:30:00 RCSMIG Uncertain
01/13/1997 10:30:00 DB_PURGE Uncertain
01/13/1997 10:30:00 RCSMIG1 Uncertain
01/13/1997 10:35:00 DB_BACKUP Uncertain
01/14/1997 06:00:00 AISMIG Missed
01/14/1997 07:30:00 AISMIG1 Missed
01/14/1997 07:30:00 RCSMIG Missed

* All of the events since, have been missed. A couple of today's events
whose duration period is not yet over are in a pending state.

* The activity log at the time of the DB_BACKUP failure follows.

01/12/1997 10:35:01 ANR2750I Starting scheduled command DB_BACKUP ( BACKUP
DB
                      TYPE=FULL DEVCLASS=DB3590 SCRATCH=YES ).
01/12/1997 10:35:01 ANR2753I (DB_BACKUP):ANR2433E BACKUP DB: A database
                      define, delete,
01/12/1997 10:35:01 ANR2753I (DB_BACKUP):extend, reduce, or backup operation
                      is already
01/12/1997 10:35:01 ANR2753I (DB_BACKUP):in progress.
01/12/1997 10:35:01 ANR2752E Scheduled command DB_BACKUP failed.

* I don't know of any activity which might have caused this failure, and I
haven't found anything in the activity log to identify any process which
would "extend, reduce, or backup" the database.

* Later that same day, I find the following in the activity log.

01/12/1997 18:26:05 ANR0811I Inventory client file expiration started as
                      process 12.
01/13/1997 10:05:12 ANR2268I Recovery log assigned capacity has been
extended
01/13/1997 10:05:12 ANR2104I Activity log process restarted - recovered from
an insufficient space condition in the Log or Database.

At 10:05 on January 13, I extended the size of the log file. At that time,
it appeared as though all was well with the system.

Does anybody have any explanatation and/or suggestions for getting the
administrative schedule commands running again?
