Attn:  IBM.  Since Novell certifies programs for Netware, our Netware
     backup customers want to know if ADSM is certified.  And for many it
     is not.  See below:

     "Sorry I didn't clarify the point better, but when a product is
     certified, the individual company (IBM) has complete control over what
     plaforms it is or isn't certified on.  For example, v2 of ADSM was
     specifically not certified on 3.x platforms at the request of IBM.

     That's why I suggested that you contact IBM and pressure them a bit to
     continue support of the 3.x customer base.

     Novell has very few requirements as to what platforms must be
     supported.

     Is there any positive way we can present ADSM v2 lack of certification
     on the Netware 3.x platform?  Or is there any chance IBM would
     reconsider the decision not to certify for 3.x?  In time this problem
     is sure to go away but right now Netware 3.x is our most fertile field
     for ADSM backup business.  These system administrators are the least
     likely to have a good backup system in place, which is were we enter
     the picture.  Thanks for your help.
