I have 6,000,000 records on 500mb database. I lost a drive that
contained 10% of my database. My auditdb with fix=yes and detail=no
ran for 6.5 days. It took 3 days to go from 3,000,000 to 4.500,000.
I was desperate, but after talking with ADSM level 2 support, I was
told that the number of records, problem which caused you to auditdb
to be run, and the processor speed to do the work all affect the time
it takes to recover. I am planning on doing scheduled backupdb and
dumpdb (probably weekly) to recover quicker. ADSM recovers crashed
clients fairly quick, but does not recover itself well.
