No dateformat - with Solaris 2.5/2.1.0.6 client
1997-01-03 12:39:01
Has anyone successfully installed the new adsm 2.1.0.6 client on Solaris 2.5
and continued to get dateformat=2 (or anything but 0) to work?
[Server is AIX 2.1.5.10.]
I believe that my dsm.opt is being processed (I added another option into
it and that worked) but my 'dateformat 2' is ignored. Doing dsmc -date=2
starts dsmc ok but is also ignored. The dsmc query opt command shows
dateformat as 0 no matter what I do.
This looks remarkably like the loss of dateformat on AIX a while ago - but
I can't find any hints in the README's etc. Any help gratefully accepted.
This affects both dsmc and dsmadmc (which I use to pipe console output
into scripts to monitor the system - they stopped working as a result!).
Thanks.
