Subject: Backup Client Option file on Win32
After reading all the notes about the Win32 install, I decided to try it
myself, and got IP20863 -- I can't believe how disappointed I am in how
the option files are done -- the backup option file was shipped with
TCPPORT 1521 and a TCPSERVERADDRESS of somewhere in Endicott!!!! -
unfortunately, while editing the file, I didn't notice the TCPPORT
change, and then couldn't figure out why I couldn't connect!!!!!! - What
I don't understand is why the Backup options file is shipped with
different options set than the administrator options file -- that one
was easy enough to change to what I needed .... this area really needs
cleaning up ....
