Say what? Version 1 Release 1 Level 0.0/1.0 support DTL4000's now!, and
according to my ETR, the Q7 will be supported by PTF1 on this version
in about 1-2 weeks:

 ETRVW1 Record 8131E,035,000

 Hi Steve,
It does appear that from the returns of "Quad 7" and "DLT4000" that the
library and drives in question will be supported in PTF1.
As far as running the lbtest, use the following procedure,
 At the command prompt, type:
 lbtest
 (1) Manual teat
 (1) Set Device, like /dev/lb0
 (6) Open
 (8) ioctl return element count
 (9) ioclt return all element
 .
If lbtest is not found, then it is not installed and you will need to
 talk to the SUN admin.
 .
Again, from the info given in your last update, the library and drive
that you possess will be supported in PTF1 due in the next week or 2.
 Thanks,
 Larry
