Anyone out there using a Qualstar M2488 (it's a standalone non-ACL 3490E
SCSI-2 tape drive) with ADSM/6000? I can't seem to get it defined to
ADSM. It's not specifically listed on the supported devices list but,
it's a 100% compatible 3490E. We've transferred several types of data
from the 3490E's on our VM system through it already with no problems.
I mean hey, it's not like 3490E's are new tape technology or it's in an
ATL or something but, I get an i/o error when I do a 'define drive' and
I know it's at /dev/rmt1, been working fine there. Any one know what
ADSM is being so picky about or is it something I've forgotten to do?
