I did do this.  I have my server setup for "open" registration.  Could
this have some impact?  Anyway, I login for the first time and set my
initial password and I'm registered OK.  All attempts afterwards require a
password.  Having to set the password on the command line to startup the
scheduler is really bad.  This is happening with the Sun's.  Do they not
take to this setting as well?
