In dsm, from the View menu, select "Show active and inactive files". Then, if 
you restore by directory tree, you'll see an "A" or an "I" beside each file, 
denoting active and inactive.

Use "DEFine Volume" to assign each volume to a storage pool. For example:

        DEF V TAPEPOOL2 8MM001 ACC=READW
