Tim,no the scheduler was not running.  Thats the first thing I shut down during
installs

Don,
        Was the ADSM scheduler service running at the time this happened ??  If
so, that could be the problem.  Before installing ADSM client
maintenance, I either stop, unload, or kill (depending on the platform)
the ADSM schedule before proceeding.
