I am backing up a Netware 3.11 client on an MVS platform, V2.1.0.1. The
client is getting the same error. When I check the activity log, I get the
following: ANR0481W Session xxx for node xxxxxx terminated - client did not
respond within 300 seconds. I have COMMITTIMEOUT set to 300 seconds. The
manual says that the COMMITTIMEOUT can be increased if this is happening often.

I only get this message on this particular Netware client, on one specific
volume during the backup. We have narrowed it down that far. I get no other
messages in the activity log. The client retries the schedule until the
duration limit is reached. Is it possible that there is a file name that
could be causing the TCP/IP error? Or... could there be data going down
the line that is causing the error?

We thought we had it pinpointed to a particular directory, but even after
excluding that file, we still get the error. I am in the process of getting
the client schedule log for any info it can give. Does anyone have any clues?

The TCPPort is set correctly.

Thanks!
