Alvin, if you are running on either HP, SUN, or AIX platforms, then I
would recommend you use DataTools SQL-Backtrack, because they provide a
true incremental backup. Your method seems to be more work on your part
and what you are really doing is a "simulated" incremental backup. You are
backing up the log files, and then if you need to restore you would reapply
each transaction in the logs. A true incremental backup only backs up
the changed DB blocks (I think it's at the block level?). My lead contact
