Jane...you need to mark the newly created copy storage pool volumes as
offsite and then check them out of the library (if in an automated library).
We don't do this automatically because some customers (with small
amounts of incremental stg pool data and high capacity cartridges) choose
to keep their copy storage pool volumes (the last one created) onsite
until it is full.  The DRM feature of ADSM helps to automate this a
little more but you still need to issue a command (in the case of DRM,
MOVE DRMEDIA).  The command you need to mark all newly created volumes
offsite is...

update volume * access=offsite location='vault info..' -
       wherestgpool=copypoolname whereaccess=readwrite,readonly -
       wherestatus=filling,full

if you have an automated library, you will need to issue the following for
each volume...

checkout libvolume libraryname volname
