Did you try NODE RENAME?

I have used the following process to rename nodes -

1. backups had been taken with the old name......

2. Used the Admin facility to rename the Node . It's Rename Node in the
command line - or look under the Edit pull down on the GUI.

3. When completed, all of the file associations move along with the new name.

The above assumes that the duplicate node had not also been backed up under
ADSM yet. If you had backed up both, then I might look at Export processing
to solve the problem, but I don't have a lot of experience with Export. I am
thinking along the lines of Export the file spaces you need, then rename the n
ode, redefine it, and then Import the file spaces you need. (This is based on
my understanding - not on my experience that it will work).

Hi,

I have a Windows 95 ADSM client (version 2, release 1) whose hostname had to
be
changed (because there is another host using the name) AFTER being backed up
to the ADSM server (OS/2 w/ ADSM 1.2). Now I cannot access my backups (for
restor- ing) from the ADSM server. Is there a way to change the name of a
registered node?

Thank you for your assistance. John
