Skipping files during restore
1996-07-16 06:59:55
Hi all!
We're trying to clone a Netware 3.12 server and are using ADSM to restore the
files backed up from server A to server B. The problem we're having is this -
during the restore we see these messages:
(TSA312 4.2 266) This data set is in use and cannot be accessed at this time.
ANS4104E Write access denied in trying to Restore <filename>
Retry/skip/abort (r/s/a)?
Is there any way to have ADSM automatically skip these files and not sit there
waiting for a reply? We're looking at a 4-5 hour restore and would prefer not
to babysit the entire process just to reply to a prompt.
We've run the restore twice now and each time the process has timed out due to
the prompt going unnoticed. Aside from the fact that the target server has no
users on it (which makes the idea of a file being "in use" a bit suspect) does
anyone have a way to get around the prompt?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanx!
