I am making the following assumptions:

1.  You have a unique LUN for the drive.
2.  You are using the ADSM drive feature of SMIT
3.  The devices that ADSM will use are lbx and mtx
4.  If you changes the default addresses of the library and tape drive, you
    powered off and then on the unit.
5.  If the above is correct, I would need more info.  I have a unit with no
problems.
