Your comment about the "Very Large Notes data bases" brings up a=some
questions I have been pondering.....

We have some large (at least by my estimate) Notes DBs that are very active.
The data bases are on the order of 300 to 400 MB. We currectly back them up
completely each night; the Notes server has close to 20GB of DASD, and takes
about 7 hours to back up each night. We had thought about the Notes agent,
but were skeptical, based on reports we had heard that said that the Notes
agent was very slow, due to the overhead imposed by the API and its interface
with Notes.

Do you have any performance numbers on the Notes Agent?

The Lotus Notes Backup Agent is an application written using the ADSM API that
provides for incremental backup of Lotus Notes databases at the document
level.
The normal OS/2 backup-archive client can be used to back up Notes databases
in their entirety (i.e. the whole .NSF file). You can actually use both
clients
in tandem, i.e. occasional full backups with the regular backup-archive client
and incremental backups with the Lotus Notes Backup Agent. This combination
would be effective especially for environments with very large Notes
databases.

As far as the Windows admin client goes - at this time the only available
admin is the command line.
