I am not Mac literate (though I have one at home for my wife and kids), and I
have to support them for ADSM.  Can you be more specific on the comment "the new
macs".  Do you mean Power Macs, or PowerBooks?  If it is PowerMacs, is it only
in the latest models, or has this been in all Power based machines?  My mac at
home is a PowerMac 7100, about a year old, and has the power on/power off
feature you described (time based), but I have seen nothing about a "sleep"
mode.
