Well, you can buy a 370 channel card and device driver from ibm
and use your 4480 tape drives with adsm 6000 aix server, just define
the 4480 drives as 3480s.  For the robotics support IBM in Dallas i think
offers a package to support stk silo robotics, or you can use the
public domain adsm stk silo code that many use at ibmwww.lanl.gov
in /outgoing/dsmmountrpc3.tar.Z.  It works with the old lmu i think
but you have to run acsls or mvsls from stk, but that would be
at least an order of magnitude cheaper than timberlines and new lmu etc.
