Hi,

we're beginners in using ADSM. We've just installed version 2.1
level 0.0 on an RS/6000 using an ADIC 1200D DAT changer with a
HP C1553A tape drive. We had no problems installing the software
but ADSM doesn't want to talk with the changer. When we're
defining a scsi library, e.g.
   define library autolib libtype=scsi device=/dev/lb0
we get the error
   ANR8300E I/O error on library autolib
   OP=00006C01
   CC=207, KEY=FF, ASC=FF, ASCQ=FF
It's no problem to use the HP drive within a manual library.
We tested the same configuration on another RS/6k with the
same result.
Did anyone else have problems using this configuration or did
we make a mistake?

Thanks in advance,
