I can't think of any immediate problems, but maybe someone else has some
ideas. A couple of questions (sorry if they sound dumb, but you never now...)

1) You indicated that you "set aside" three 1 GB volumes. What do you mean
   by this? Are they in "ReadWrite" access mode?

2) Is the access mode for the BACKUPPOOL "ReadWrite"?

3) Ditto for your tape pool?

4) Is there a "next storage pool" for BACKUPPOOL?

5) Does this happen for other clients that try to back up to ADSM?

6) What is the "Mount Wait" setting for your tape pool devclass? Is
   it possible that a tape wasn't mounted within the specified time frame?

Just a few thoughts.....
