For those of you who run (ADSM) on an MVS Server:

We use SqlBacktrack to pipe Sybase DB's to an ADSM tape storage pool and
now need to come up with a scheme for vaulting/offsite storage methods on
particular sets of tapes from a storage pool of many.

I guess I am looking for hints/tips on how other users of adsm have
addressed the offsite/vaulting cycle problem. What types of methods are
used to get into an offsite schedule that ADSM can agree with?

We have been playing around with TMS, but have been frustrated so far.
Can't seem to get ADSM and TMS to work together gracefully.

There's got to be a better way.
