We are in the process of  proposing an RS/6000 ADSM server configuration to
replace the existing ADSM VM configuration.

The exixting configuration on VM has about 600 users and contains about 100G
of data stored on 3480 cartridge tapes.

The proposed RS/6000 configuration  will be using the 7331-205 8mm tape
system as the off-line storage medium.

I will have access to a channel attach card for the RS/6000 which will allow
me to mount the 3480 tapes on the RS/6000.

Should I be able to EXPORT data from the VM server onto 3480 tapes and then
IMPORT the data from the same tapes mounted on the RS/6000?

I need to move the SERVER control information as well as all archive data
from the VM server to the AIX server.
