I am exactly in the same boat as you. I just witnessed a recovery of 700
files from a list containing 1200 versions. Not only do you have to scroll
up & down, but left & right as well. It took two LAN administrators and me
around 2 hours to select the files (two of us looking over the third's
shoulder to watch for errors). And you have to hope that no errors were
made.

I've been lobbying IBM to provide this capability for quite a while, now.
I've heard that date filtering will probably show up in the next version.

It also occurs to me that if backups cross midnight, date filtering alone
might not be sufficient to get you the data you want. Therefore we need
a time filtering option, as well.
