Database Size actual VS Calculated on VM ?

DATABASE 340 meg, needed to add some space it was at 91%
and climbing. Ok added 140 more now at 65% great.
630365 files in storage on ADSM according to QUERY OCCUPANCY.
630365 * 400 bytes per file eventually comes out to 240 meg
or 70% of 340 meg. I realize some overhead is needed but not
21%. (400 bytes per file seems up there too.) This system is
mirrored, so figure double everything. total dasd invested > 2600 3390
cyls and this server is less than half the size of the other one here.
Can anyone account for the mystery 70 meg so I can answer my boss'
question?
Thank you,
