I'm a bit of a Sun newbie, so forgive me for asking such a basic question:
Downloaded all the new client patches.  Installed without a hitch
on SCO, Windows, OS/2.  FTPed the 20335.TAR patch over to the first of
3 Suns I have running ADSM (system is running SunOS 4.1.2).
I cp the file to a tmp directory, look up the man pages for the
tar command, and issue the following to just look at the contents of the
tar file:
..
vsun1# tar -tf 20335.TAR
tar: directory checksum error (0 != -3057)
vsun1#
..
Seems to me the file is corrupt.  During each hop in the FTP chain, I had file
type set to binary, so that shouldn't be the problem...
Any assistance from a Sun guru would be appreciated...
