Yes, I've had this problem, still do every so often.  All the
machines involved though were on Appletalk, were AppleShare
FileServers but, died near the beginning, not the middle.  I've
tried going to MacTCP 2.0.6 (from 1.1.1) and that didn't seem to
help.  I turned the slowincremental option on and that actually
seemed to help them out (ie the error became _much_ less frequent).
I have never seen a machine continue though once the failure message
shows up.  I've sat right in front the of machine, closed the
scheduler, started up the backup manually, run an incremental and
it ran fine, go figure.  I'm convinced it has nothing to do with
ADSM though, it's strictly a communication problem, I'm guessing
it may be our way antiquated Fastpaths but, since I can't get it
replicate when I've got a network monitor on the circuit, I'll
probably never know.  If you get anymore information could you
pass it along to me, thanks.
