Kees,

There are several parameters you should look at tuning to achieve better
throughput.  Here are the important ones with some suggested values:

 VTAM RUSIZE=8989 which means   4096 inbound and 4096 outbound

 VTAM MAXDATA of 4105  (4096 plus 9 for TH and RH)
 NCP MAXTSL of 4105 to match MAXDATA
 NCP RCVBUFC of 4200 to allow for Token Ring headers and trailers

 OS/2 MAX RU of 4096
 OS/2 Transmit buffer of 4120
 OS/2 Receive buffer size of 2048 (max allowed) with minimum of 5
 OS/2 Send and receive window of 8

Note that you may need to compromise on the parameters to achieve a
balance between good response times for interactive (LU2) sessions and
max throughput for high volume data transfer.
