I just started a MOVE DATA from a disk volume to a tape storage pool
with collocation on. My server is ADSM/6000 1.2.0.5. I watched the process
to request the first tape volume, write some files to it, request the
second tape volume, write one file to it, request the third tape volume,
write one file to it, then request the second tape volume again.

At that point I decided to cancel the process.

Obviously, MOVE DATA does not group files according to their destination,
as migration does. A more intelligent behaviour is needed here.

I observed the same behavior with the MVS server (1.1.8). After
about an hour it had gone through about a hundred tape
mounts, remounting the same 5 or 6 tapes over and over and over.

I gave up (after some encouragement from our operators),
cancelled the process and turned collocation off.
