You need to click on the Subdirectory box on the GUI to get subdirectories.
The GUI uses most of the options in the options file, except ones
that don't apply like VERBOSE and SCROLLLINES, and ones that
it already has a check box for, like SUBDIR and REPLACE.
We added the subdirectory box for the UNIX clients in the August PTF,
so if you don't see one on your screen under Restore by File Spec,
you need to apply maintenance.

We really like your idea, though, of using the options file
value for SUBDIR and REPLACE as the default setting of the
GUI checkbox.  We don't do that today.  It is now on our list
for a future release. Thanks for the suggestion!
