Looking through the nice mail Dinese sent us (thanks Dinese) it looks
as though plans to have ADSM automagicly update the clients is some 2+
years off. A few times now I've wanted to be able to see what version
the client is running without going to the machine or tracking someone
down by phonetag to find out. Would this be useful to anyone else or
am I alone in wanting this type of information from the server?

An example of a recent reason why this would be nice:
I would like to be able to send mail to users and tell them a new version
has arrived but, I'd like to follow up and harass those users who don't
upgrade though after some xx number of days. It would save me a lot of
work since I have a collection of users who actually can perform their
own upgrades but just need reminding sometimes. I don't really want to
bother the people who have upgraded though and I can't discriminate from
the server who has and who hasn't upgraded.
