VM: adding DB space on server
1994-03-07 12:53:56
Experience during testing suggests that my ADSM server on VM needs a lot
more space than I gave it. The ADSM Administrator's Guide mentions using
DSMINST to add DB space and says you don't have to take the server down to
do this, but I'm at least a little confused by this. For one thing,
DSMINST gives dire warnings about reinitializing everything.
How do I add more minidisks to my database?
Do I FORMAT and RESERVE them myself?
Do I ignore DSMINST's warnings as long as I don't say that the existing
disks need formatting?
Does anyone have an EXEC they can post to run on another userid before the
server links to the disks?
Sigh,
Nick
