- ERRORLOGNAME Use the ERRORLOGNAME option to specify the path and name of the file where you want ADSM to store information about errors that occur during processing. Syntax +--+ & & & >>--ERRORLOGnam

- Yes - To redirect your dsmerror.log file to a specific location, use the ERRORLOGname option in your dsm.sys file. For example, on our Solaris machines, we state: ERRORLOGname /opt/IBMDSMba5/dsmerror

- Tim, The approach I would take is as follows: 1. Identify a location on a non-root drive where the log could be stored. such as /2nd_drive/logs. 2. Move /dsmerror.log /2nd_drive/logs/dsmerror.log 3.

- Add the parameter "ERRORLOGRETENTION 10" to your dsm.opt file to keep 10 days worth of error logs. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________
