Probably the easiest thing to do is to load the indexes for those dates (the index isn't necessarily on those tapes). Do a "nsrck -L 7 -t time_value client_name". Look up index recovery in the admin

I generally find that I have to do both, run "nsrck -L 7 -t time_value client_name, and run scanner -i but it depends on the version of Networker you are running. From what I understand, 7.3.1 is not

Kelly i`ve tried both changing the browse time and running scanner and neither seemed to help. The directory in question has 65gb of data so I thought maybe it was too much for networker user to hand

To all of those who helped on this I thank you. I ended up opening a case with EMC and neither the mminfo or recover commands they suggested worked so, we scanned the tape "scanner -vvvvv -I -S "SID"
