I don't believe this is an amanda problem, but a solaris kernel problem. Unforch, I'll leave the definitive solaris answers to Jon. If its anything like linux, then you should find the correct device

Thanks all It's working now. Had to compile 'sst' from the contrib dir, configure sst.conf and 'add_drv'. It's now at /devices/pci@1f,0/pci@1/scsi@2,1/sst@4,1:character. I just wonder whether this is

For Solaris 2.6, it might be the only solution (except possibly for STCTL (http://www.cs.pdx.edu/~eric/stctl/). For Solaris 8+, there's a Sun driver, sgen(7D), you would use that. -- Jay Lessert jay_
