Matthias, The SHOW LIBR command is a good place to start to diagnose this problem. Here's what the flags you mentioned mean: busy= 0 means the drive is not mounted or even acquired by adsm. online= 0

Dennis, Are you referring to some other brand of silos/libraries or are you talking about external stand-alone 3590's? If it's the latter, you can certainly define them to a single library by : defin
