Hi ADSM gurus, Is it possible to take archives from one node and retrieve them onto a different node? If so, where can I find instructions? Thanks........Amy

Amy, This is very well possible and not so difficult. At ourt site this occurs regularly. We use three, of the many possible solutions. Depending on your platform, we use these command line options:
What are the limitations for platform? Ie, can you restore a Novell file to an NT platform from NT? Or do you have to restore from the Novell platform and mount the NT volume? thanks. -k

Specify an alternate node name when you invoke the GUI from the command line, like 'dsm -nodename=other_system -password=that_system's_password'. Richard Sims, BU
