one of the solution to this is to make sure you have in your bp.conf the following entries: ALLOW_MEDIA_OVERWRITE = DBR ALLOW_MEDIA_OVERWRITE = TAR ALLOW_MEDIA_OVERWRITE = CPIO ALLOW_MEDIA_OVERWRITE

check the value of DISALLOW_BACKUPS_SPANNING_MEDIA in bp.conf. It should be set to NO. after that if the problem persist have the hardware vendor check the drive for hw error and firmware update. Dav
