when i start amrecover i allways get the message "No index records for disk for specified date" this means in my amrecover i can not do an ls too see the content of the disk i selected with setdisk &

Those are directories, not the index files. What, if anything, is in those directories. On my system those directories are owned by the amanda user, not by root and the group is amanda's group, not w
