To be safe our recovery log is 10% of the size of our database. So if you have 10GB database you should have a 1GB log Also, When a database backup runs the recovery log should be flushing. How often

Hi Kevin, How about backing up your database? The recovery log is only used to keep a record of database transactions. When you do a full database backup (hopefully daily) the recovery log is reset.
