Fred, Are you referring to Data Protection for SQL? If so, you can use the GUI to just restore the log backups. Just remember that you need to uncheck the "Recovery" box EXCEPT on the last log that y

Fred, There is no way to restore DP/SQL backups to a "file". SQL backups are a "stream of bits"... only the SQL Server knows how and where to place the bits back into the one (or more) .LDF log files

Thanks Del. The last full is 2/12/07, but there are those disassociated logs from January. The DBA hoes there is a way to restore them as simple bit strings. Then his magic log analyzer can find his
