a bare metal restore is a restore that you have to do to a machine when there has been a total hardware failure or a similar catastrophe. with nt systems, you have the option of cutting an "image" of

Do you need an agent to cut the "image"? also if you are using the second method do you need to restore the registry and reboot or vice-versa since the os you are running is in a separate directory?
I would like to add one additional step to that procedure: 6a) After the restore of the C: drive is complete, copy the following files: From ?:\ADSM.SYS\Registry\_machine_\Machine\*.* to ?:\WINNT\Sys
