You mean copying the trap definitions in trapd.conf using a node list to distinguish them? The traps will have the same specific trap number but you have to give them different names, and you should

Drew, I may have missed your point entirely, but if not... would you not look into using the HP Insight Manager integration module for TEC (I think the latest version is 2.0) and processing the event

You're right--that is a possibility and we installed the latest version on our dev box, but it's not what we really want. We also found out HP's integration with NV stopped at V6. We're trying to use
