If you get an answer I would appreciate it if you could pass it along to me, I have been dealing with 65 media that are in that state. Not in the EMM database Supposed to have expired 1 year or more

So it's not in the VM database. I wonder if you could create a volume with that name via 'vmadd'. Then try to expire it at that point (and if it works, follow up with a 'vmdelete'). -- Darren Dunham

Why not re-import the tape back into Netbackup and then remove the images from the catalog when it's complete. I know this is probably the long route to take but it should work depending on your driv

Hello, If you have paid support give Symantec a call. I think they helped me with a corrupt media database issue a long time ago. I can't remember what we did but there is a solution to this issue. D

'bpexpdate' should be the way to do it normally. -dassignbyid is no longer valid for NetBackup tapes in 6. If you have a tape in the volume DB without it being properly in the media DB, I no longer
