Sorry for stupid question, but I've forgotten off what CD I install the NetBackup Administration Console! We're running NetBackup 6MP4, on RedHat Linux 4, but I want to run the console off my Windows

ON Linux just run the jnbSA command with the XDisplay exported to your box. /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/jnbSA Other than that, I think the GUI is on the same CD as the Windows server install. Thank You,

As far as I know, when you use the install CD for the Master / Media Server there should be an option to install the console. At least it is for Windows. This is what I use to install the software on
NBConsole for Windows is on the base install for Netbackup Server, when you install it asks you if you want to install only on this machine. -- Carl Stehman Distributed Services Pepcoholdings, Inc. 7

Thanks everyone for your help, it was indeed on the Windows disc - but I originally missed the final option to install the Java Windows Administration Console ... which was the one I actually wanted

I've seen that problem. Try the following: - Add the host names for the master and client in each others hosts file. - Make sure there is a SERVER = <pc_machine> in the bp.conf on the master server.
