Now that you mention it, you do have to be local admin. In addition, when the system is rebuilt to its original OS and Service Pack level, it should *not* be added to its domain before the recovery.
George, The disaster recovery manual clearly states that you should leave the machine in a "workgroup" and not add it to the domain. This of course will disable your login as domain administrator. Af
