Hi! I believe there is a path for Win2k that addresses a problem with gethostbyname() (or something like that). This patch is post-SP2 and installed on an SP2 server might work. The patch is also inc

Right. I have that patch installed but it didn't make a difference. Hi! I believe there is a path for Win2k that addresses a problem with gethostbyname() (or something like that). This patch is post-

Server: Tru64 5.0A with Networker 6.0.3 Client: 2 node Windows 2000 Adv Svr SP2 MSCS cluster with Networker 6.1.2 Cluster consists of two physical nodes: node1 & node2 and two virtual nodes: virtual1
There is a bug in the gethostbyname/gethostbyaddr calls in a MSCS environment. Win2K SP3 includes the fix. Win2K SP2 and earlier have a hotfix available from Microsoft - Q265017. Wes Server: Tru64 5.

Perhaps I misunderstand Networker's capabilities. I created node1, node2, vnode1 & vnode2 like you described. Then I put "All" in the saveset field for each. I expect Legato to figure out that node1
In 6.x the saveset has to specifiy the volumes otherwise you will have problems with the virtual hosts. Additonally as was my experience it will keep doing fulls on the virtual hosts until the drive

Hi all! Specifying saveset All on NT4 MSCS work the way you expected (only backing up "local" drives on physical nodes and only "virtual" drives on virtual node). Don't know if it's a bug or a re-des
My understanding it is 6.x where Legato is more cluster aware. If you check your license count you will see the virtual drives are not using up a cluster license as they were in the 5.x series, thoug

The virtual nodes are not taking up an extra cluster license. Unfortunately, my problem is that networker seems to be unable to distinguish between shared & private volumes. Perhaps my problem has so
