Mickael, Yes you can, as long as the TSM server levels and platforms (AIX, Windows, etc.) are the same. For example; you cannot use this process when going from a version 5 to a version 6 instance. M

Mickael: Take a look at the TSM upgrade guide. This details the processes for upgrading a 5.x server to 6.x. It is really more a migration than an upgrade, but essentially, it is a db export, followe

Mickael. Have you thought about doing upgrading the server from 5.5 to 6.3 vrs exporting all of the nodes? Depending on the size of your database it might be faster to just upgrade. Rick, That the pr

Hello Everyone, I have two questions If I run the following select statement select distinct node_name from volumeusage where volume_name='xxxxxx' I get a list of nodes on that tape.. Is there a way
You could use the move nodedata to move other nodes off that tape or move the node you want to keep to another tape. Say you have one node's data you want isolated... mark other filling vols in that
What I'm always wondering about when these sort of questions arise is 'why would you want to do _that_ ???' I usually don't care about particular volumes unless they break, and I don't care about nod

The reason for this is because we have one of our important nodes going to physical tape and the rest going to a VTL. A few weeks ago we had a problem with our VTL and had to make all of our node go
Hi, thanks. Now, as for the answer to your question, since you want to move the data (not so much delete it), you want to use move nodedata (as Dwight told you). As always, usually there is a perfect
